So, I went to try on dresses on Friday and had such a great time and I love FOUR of them equally. I was feeling really good about the whole experience, having spent some good time with my friend who is also getting married, with both of us trying on gorgeous frocks.

Then I sent the pictures to my mom, as she demanded, and she pulled no punches in telling me she basically hated all of them, so what was a wonderful day suddenly became a fraught, depressing, resentful day.
