Blade Runner 2049: Looked great and had ambience to spare. With a movie like that, you don't even need much of a story or plot. It's fine to just have something that gently pulls you along while you enjoy the sights.
The problem is that the movie was laden with too many cliches and dumb contrivances. It was like trying to enjoy a painting and having an airhorn randomly blare in your ear.
It's a shame, because all the components of the film were good, but they did not cohere. #movies
