Am I paranoid for thinking that reCaptcha just uses us to improve AI dectection of vehicles and street signs?
@CobaltVelvet @Siphonay the ones with words used to have a link explaining how it was helping Google Books OCR old books with smudged print.
I'm fairly certain it has been published on a few tech sites (and Google will admit to it if queried) the photo ones were being fed into algorithms for self-driving cars, although the use is not as transparent / immediately obvious as with the book captchas..
