Remember that yours truly used to be an anti-abortionist, 'christian science' believer, and basically went wherever the *ignorant* Christian line went (including on Israel).

And I can say unequivocally (in HINDSIGHT, keep in mind, people told me the evidence for a lot of things at the time that mattered fuck all to me) that evidence had nothing to do with it. And my exit was entirely based on just slow reasoning I did by myself.

Also up until early last year (before joining Mastodon), I had ignorant ideas (not hostile, I never condoned aggressive acts or harassment, but I had a lot of what you could say, unhelpful and ignorant Liberal/centrist ideas) about social justice and such. Then I was exposed to certain things in the internet and elsewhere and changed my mind quite sharply.

IDK, change happens, it's not easy, and it's rarely something you can talk someone out of IMO.
