is there anyway to help folks in the US in light of current events?
I'm unable to give money but like. I feel I should do something if I can? :-O
@apLundell
I could put out a toot telling folks to contact senators but I'm not sure how well a British person saying that would be taken? would it seem patronizing?
I'd rather boost a post made by someone in the US really?
I may be being over cautious about this though :-p
@Scavenger Before ACA, Here in USA people avoided going to the doctor because learning about a serious illness (even if you don't realize it's serious yet) while you're uninsured means you'll never be insured again.
A huge number of people in USA honestly think this is better than whatever system they have in UK.
The best thing a Brit could do is make people here realize that healthcare doesn't have to be horrible.
@apLundell what. the ever loving fuck.
seriously? >:-I
like. I don't think there's anyone who follows me or I follow who likes that kinda shitty healthcare system system, but I'll try to talk to ppl who do if I see them :-o
@Scavenger You mean healthcare?
If you can, I guess convince red-state voters to contact their senator and complain before the senate votes on it.
