I don't get when people say, "I'm too lazy to Google this," in cases where it literally takes longer to type that statement than search for the answer.

Obviously, there are complex questions, but I see this said when the question is on the order of "What is Jimmy Carter's middle name?"

Just look it up!

"What is Jimmy Carter's middle name?" is a relatively low effort question, unless there are conflicting results and you are poor at analyzing credibility or at skimming text or at segregating information by value.

Those are mostly learnable skills and people should practice them whether or not they wanna, so I'm not totally sympathetic with people who always lazyweb it. But I want to be mindful of why they might.
