Started playing Cultist Simulator a couple of days ago.

There isn't real lore or cults, but the process of seeking mystical knowledge and unravelling how to cast magic are achingly similar to real .

So, definitely worth a glance if you like puzzle games or are wondering if a life as a metaphysical explorer is for you.

@DaveHiggins I'm enjoying it, myself. I do need to take the time to read all the flavor text. Interesting world(s) they created and some great dark humor in there. Currently doing forbidden paintings.

@RecursiveRabbit The paintings are a good route to try if you don't want the hassle of the timekeeping needed not to lose a proper job. However, watch out for the vast amounts of mystique it can generate; I ended up having the Suppression Bureau as an almost permanent fixture because there wasn't anything to find but they kept looking.

@DaveHiggins I'm in the late game, so I'm not going to run out of money. I'm mostly doing out of curiosity, to see all the esoteric art I can make. Still need the Lantern and Moth pigments.

@RecursiveRabbit Ah! You're a (undefined) distance ahead of me then.

Haven't found either of those pigments, but occult art does seem to be fun so good luck to you.
