Since Mastodon.social has been down for registration, what id driving you to pick your particular instance?
Personally I went with the next highest userbase, uptime, and the stated amount of federation.
How about everyone else?
@Rasgueado My friend @Tempben showed this to me. I just went with the server with the most attractive name + registrations opened. I figure'd since they we're all linked that it didn't matter.
@darkblade @Tempben the name was part of it for me too. It reminded me of Chuck Norris and the Octogon, which was used in a really good bit on the Colbert Report.
So far, most other people seem to have a better decision making thought process than I do. =D
