Hi everyone! I’m a biology professor, amateur coder and statistician by day. In my off time I’m a science enthusiast, dog lover and tabletop gamer, including D&D. If I didn’t work from home so frequently, I’d almost never feel the need to socialize in person. 😝 #introductions
@Nurowyn Welcome! I’m a graphic designer, so I’m with you on the amateur coding (but probably not the same kind), but also a huge science enthusiast among other things!
Since you’re in biology, I wanna ask, where do you stand on plant intelligence? (or is that too loaded of a question) it’s one of my favorite topics to read about 😍
@milo Hi, and thanks! I’ve never worked with plants, so it’s a bit outside my expertise. That being said, plant communication and biosemiotics are generating a lot more interest than they used to!
@milo No worries at all! I field all sorts of cool questions like that one in non-majors bio, my favorite course. Not gonna lie, I can’t really pick between genetics and evolution as my favorites. I regularly check out various social media outlets for science news, which I tell myself is to keep my classes current. 😉
