@NeuroWinter Could you run it in a container or VM? It's a drama I know.
@drh I have tried wine, but it didnt work, so now I need to set up a windows VM.
@drh @NeuroWinter that's what I was going to suggest. I'd also investigate keeping a Raspberry Pi with Win10 IoT as a separate Skype bix
@NeuroWinter @dataKnightmare That's an interesting idea. The RPi 3 should have plenty of juice for that.
@drh @dataKnightmare That is a cool idea and its a reason for me to get a pi! I might look into that!
@NeuroWinter Hi, has anyone already suggested Wine?
https://www.winehq.org/
@Kent Yeah I have tried to use wine in the past but it didnt install :( looks like Sky will work though

@NeuroWinter Unless you can convince them to use Zoom instead, your only option is to run Windows in a virtual machine. None of the S4B clones (commercial or otherwise) are going to be functional.
@NeuroWinter use Slack ;)
@Alastair I want to but my bosses all use Skype for Business, since they all come from a corporate windows world.
@NeuroWinter I can't even get Skype for Business working on the Mac and that's supposed to be fairly well supported, getting it working on Linux I don't know if its possible.
@NeuroWinter It seems to work for me, although I haven't used it in a year maybe so there's that.
None the less I've got Skype 4.3 for Linux, Linux Mint 17.3 Rosa.
@jannamark I can get normal skype working but I cant join conference calls :(
@NeuroWinter hmmm are you able to add persons to a conference call you have started?
@jannamark I havnt tried that yet
@NeuroWinter I'd be curious how it works out. (also if you need an extra linux user I'm janna.ostoya)
@NeuroWinter Sorry. I can't help you in this matter. 😐
@NeuroWinter This might not be helpful as you're probably tied to Skype but have you tried Wire? wire.com
