Some sounds that I'm working on: Leaden Resolve, sort of somber or with snarly distorted bass and spare guitar lines. soundcloud.com/user-591256448/

@Myrkskog Yeah, for the time being. I'm trying to get back to writing songs and demoing them bedroom-project style for the time being. I've been out of bands for a couple years now (toddlers will do that) and in a couple years I'm gonna get back to playing live, so I want to have some good tunes ready. Interested in collaborations though!

@fobo That's great ! I'm curious to see your studio.. I'll definitely go deeper in your soundcloud ;)

@fobo What about the drums ? VST/Samples ?

@Myrkskog Yeah, I'm using Reaper and Kontakt for the drums, programming by hand. I should get a drumset though

@fobo Try Superior Drummer (Drummer From Hell) From Toontrack, perfectly suited for what you do

@fobo Do you produce full VST tracks ?

@Myrkskog Do you mean like all industrial or synth tracks without recorded instruments? Basically all of my tunes are guitar/bass/programmed drums. I've never spent time composing with other VSTs; not sure what I would do with that ;) It's hard enough for me to write a bunch of guitar riffs I'm satisfied with.

@fobo I mean full computer music, with eventually midi input, but no guitar/pedals or anything analog. Do you mean the guitars/bass from your soundcloud are VSTs ?

@Myrkskog no, I'm actually playing and recording the guitars. I've never done all-computer tracks.

@Myrkskog @fobo we do a lot of midi production: ambient or electro. Played with keyboards, only drums can be programmed.

@WoodooProd @fobo You could be surprised, there's actually some impressive VSTs and played with a keytar it becomes bluffing !

@Myrkskog @fobo Keytar really look as a cool device, for sure. VSTs give you a lot of possibilities. Some guitarists use very good amps (even Fender impressive one's), etc... on VSTs.
