@Marble @NekoiNemo the problem is moderation is local. that person is on another instance (niu); your instance (octodon) has no control over that and in fact reports do not even federate; the most your instance admins can do is block that user globally, contact the niu admins on the report's behalf, or silence all of niu
@NekoiNemo @Marble note that niu seems to be like 90% trash by volume from what i see float by the timeline. sorry you have to deal with it but in this case the best you can do is either try talking to the niu.moe admins (their front page should have some contact info?) and ask the octodon admin folks to do something. :/
@Xkeeper @NekoiNemo @Marble Oh right. Two different instances. Well, ask both moderation teams ? If the whole instance is violent/etc, maybe indeed it could get silenced/etc. Also don't forget to block the person that has been harassing/etc you.
@Marble @NekoiNemo Well I don't followed any of this (but clearly I don't like the psychophobia in any of its shapes). But in case of need/harassment/etc three things you can do : report. Maybe report again if possible. Dm the moderation team if they have a global account that redirect to every moderator ? Finally mastodon isn't a single entity and the moderation team depends on the instance you're on. However how the moderation team acts on an instance impacts its relationship with other instances. That has been seen in the past.
