I understand the problematic nature of the birdy boycott. I also think even problematic actions are better than none, for that site, at this moment in time. But I feel really isolated today, and that's where everyone is. Am I merely punishing myself or will it matter if advertisers can see the impact it could make?
@stillinhere It's pretty quiet around here huh? It's hard when that other site already has the user base.
@Lyall_Morrison Yeah, all my fandoms and activist roles have built me up to 500 people, over the years. It's a network I don't have anywhere else.
@stillinhere Yeah, it's a problem. It would be easier if the identity system was separate from the social media platform, so you could reliably find the same people on a different system.
I'm trying to think of ways to replace twitter, obviously.
