@poemproducer yes, it doesn't matter. Identities are not shared or checked between instances in any way.

@poemproducer yes, you can have them all open in tabs in your browser and they will not conflict since it's not the same service like google for example where you have to switch between accounts. mastodon instances are all different servers with different cookies and of course different communities with different rules. i post different stuff in three different instances.

@poemproducer i'd recommend either witches.town or mastodon.art - witches town has a witching hour 8-9PM (France time) when you can create an account.

some instances are in a bit of delay, as the network grows, but it also depends on the instance and its admin. otherwise remote follow should just work - but i'm not sure if you are able to see entire TL from people you just followed immediately in your home feed. you will surely see everything they post after you start following them. also some instances are blocking some too-free-speech-which-includes-abusive-behaviour instances.

@poemproducer also good to know is mastodon is still young, sometimes there are glitches and bugs but the developement seems to be going well and things are being fixed.
