Why are people shocked to learn I love heavy/death metal music? This puzzles me to no end.
(For the record, I also love classical music and am getting a taste for techno.)

Yep, you can count me among the damned. Death Metal and Pop, Folk and Baroque. Free Jazz and Minimalist Electronica. I like it all!
@KARiley40 I have the same issue, I suspect it’s because I don’t ‘look like’ what many see as a metal fan and I feel some of it is the stereotype of who likes metal? If you don’t wear all black and have skulls everywhere or something people tend to not assume you like it
(Although for me it’s also being autistic and the infantsation due to that I believe)
