@dysko love tooter so so much downloaded sailfish X official from USA via a vpn i was tired of andtoid and iOS being only choices here on day 3 of sailfish on xperia X great OS!!!!!
@dysko will do my friend im on the sailfish OS group on matrix so between here and there ill keep touch with you
@dysko so far so good so glad to finally be off the duopoly not everything is perfect on any OS but to me this is better than the duopolys spying and robbing its users.of their personal data to the highest bidder!!!
@Jameshjacksonjr I agree but there is a lot of things on the #sailfishos to fix to be able to become serious player on the market
@Jameshjacksonjr correct if they dont fix em it will just be a dev/tinkers device like purism librem 5 will have matrix built in at OS level vs sailfish itsva race against time to get a native matrix app before the runtime no longet works as apps update to newer android versions
@Jameshjacksonjr @dysko correct if they dont fix em it will.just continue to be a dev/tinkers device where as purism librem 5 will have matrix built in at OS level vs sailfish a race against time to get a native matrix app before apps start requiring new android versions i backed librem 5 so i have one of those coming to.me also!!!
@Jameshjacksonjr @dysko and i rely on matrix way to much to give it up
@dysko So for me im gonna use both sailfish X and purism librem 5 and see what device fits my needs best also i had to DL sailfish via a vpn as its not officially in USA vs purism being a USA company in california so i dont need to sneak and get it so thats a factor i need to weigh too
@dysko the matrix built in at OS level is huge to me the first out the box matrix phone what do u feel Jolla’s chances of getting a native sailfish matrix client before the matrix android app needs a higher version of android than the runtime will handle as that’s one app and service I WONT lose if that’s not there any device or OS will be a non starter for me
@Jameshjacksonjr @dysko I have used SailfishOS "all my life" since having my 1st smartphone, loving it more and more. Never owned an Android device thus far. Now so glad to see many other alternatives popping up 🙂
@Linux yes i agree im loving sailfish OS too dont want no google spying on me
@Linux you are then way too young to be online :) @Jameshjacksonjr
@dysko i remeber all my friends had iPhones but i just chuckled at them knowing the power i had in my pocket with my n900 lol
@Jameshjacksonjr @dysko id love another n900 styled device with Sailfish OS on it with like a 5 inch screen on it
