Would anyone care to explain why #markdown is such a popular feature request? Because right now I sincerely hope it never becomes part of Mastodon. Plain text is much easier on the eyes, much less messy. I like it this way.
@abgd I think that, for those who wants rich formatting into posts, Markdown is really simple and fast.
@HufflepuffBR Yes but why would we want rich formatting in posts? I think it would make the experience worse, rather than better.
