@GottaLaff @Stonekettle no worries! it can be confusing, compared to other social media :) there's no one official app, so the different apps have different names. just like you can get other apps that let you use with twitter (like tweetbot or twitterrific)

@GottaLaff @bunnyhero @Stonekettle Amaroq is a client app for Mastodon in much the same way the Twitter app is a client for Twitter.

Big difference is that Mastodon isn;t a single service. There's multiple servers running their own "instances" of Mastodon dotted about the Internet, of which Octodon is just one. And all those instances can connect and talk to one another, so you can follow and talk to people on another instance. :)

@Stonekettle I'm using Mastro Pane on both Android and my iPad. I like my consistency across platforms.
