I'm not anybody's mother, but sometimes I pretend to be one for a kid I care about.
I just got called in for a PTA meeting/ talent show. The first act was a tiny Whitestripes cover band. I regret nothing.

@OldandConfused I have only two things going for me and they are extreme patience and the fact that I find everything horrible about youngsters hilarious (but I can mostly hold in my laughs.)
@Gogogadgetpants Being impervious to bodily fluids is a huge leg up for parenting as well.
