I remember in ‘83 or ‘84 (9th grade) my school had a girls-only assembly for learning to apply makeup, led by a professional makeup artist. Oh, and some modeling lessons as well. All the essentials we would need as women.
@Fritillaria2 And some people still claim that society isn't fundamentally privileging women!
I had to work out all my own make-up tricks.
And modelling too! Still haven't finished the Scorpion tank model I started when I was eleven.
