I'm watching The Girl With All the Gifts, and I did not expect THAT!
@FadingAway I just finished re-reading the book a few days ago. Was the film good?
@Nafrondel It was pretty good. I knew next to nothing about the plot going in, and I was happily surprised. I especially enjoyed the ending.
@FadingAway Idk if it came across in the film, but I loved in the book how details were slowly revealed to us at the same time as Melanie began to understand them. So we were having the same sneaking suspicions about what's going on as Melanie. And then experiencing the same horror of realisation.
@Nafrondel The film does a passable job of slowly revealing things, but I think it reveals a lot fairly early on.
