Let alone the fucking UX nightmare that tweet editing would be. Given the current state of Twitter's API, good luck having a decent experience with tweet editing when a bajillion 3rd party clients would never update anyway.
And honestly I'd rather have Twitter get rid of fucking nazis than implementing tweet editing but ~whatever~
