I personally don't think MS is gonna ruin GitHub, or that suddenly they're going to go all Windows-copyrighty on the software hosted on it.
That'd be an incredibly stupid move given theirs actions in open source in the recent years.

that's not even getting into stuff out of microsoft research.

@gdkar as much as I agree with you I think there’s a distinction to make between “having your stuff used by Bad Actors” and “actively trying to please Bad Actors and make it sound like it’s a cool thing to do”(Google’s project Maven and how enthusiastic their execs were about it is scary as fuck)

@Eramdam look at what happened to Yammer. they were adding lots of good features. Got bought by Microsoft. all the plans came to a standstill. A year later, got folded into office. Really a shame.
