@DictionaryPlus The Federated Timeline includes Octodon and anyone we connect with. Local Timeline is Octodon-only. Your Home is just people you follow, their instance doesn't matter.
For example, I have a number of friends at witches.town, mastodon.social, and mastodon.xyz and I see all their toots even though I'm at octodon.social.
@thindol it seems the mobile app can separate them out. I found a linuxrocks instance. But looking at the preview, it seems a lot of people talk about bitcoin...
@DictionaryPlus everybody's a newbie sometime! you can follow anyone on any instance & anyone from any instance can follow you. however if you want to see the local feed of multiple instances, pretty sure you have to have an account on that instance....
