By the way, how the hell is everyone? It’s been a busy few days over here at The Ranch. (I don’t really have a ranch)

@DistroJunkie I would like a ranch, but all I have is this house, and I would have to commute. Actually, what I want is a parcel with a nice cave on it out in Real, Sutton, Edwards or Val Verde counties.

@Devils_Rancher
You still live in the old neighborhood near our old high school? That neighborhood has grown incredibly in value. Our old house that my parents bought for $30K is now worth $500K. A person could sell out and upgrade further from town.

@DistroJunkie I live inBrykerwoods & yeah, we’re sitting on a gold mine. Property values are going up 10-15% a yeat

@DistroJunkie South of 35th st, east of MoPac. We’re a block from Shoal creek up on a bluff.

@Devils_Rancher
I remember that as a nice neighborhood. I haven't lived in Austin since 1983. My in-laws live over in Lakeway, very expensive and nice. Before that they lived in Pflugerville and Cat Mountain. I was always a South Austin person. Travis Heights, Stacy Park area has always been my favorite neighborhood.

@DistroJunkie Back In 93, my landlady tried to sell us our rental on E. Live Oak for 140k & we thought she was nuts, & passed. I bet it’s worth 700k now.

@Devils_Rancher
Yeah, many of the parents of our high school friends have been gentrified out of that neighborhood. It's a shame.
