I realized the other day I hadn't listened to any podcasts in like, 5 years, so I re-loaded the iPod & decided to start with old, out-of-date MetaFilter podcasts. Started with January 2012. I don't know why. Listening to Cortex, Mathowie & Jessamyn ramble on about stuff 5 years hence has been more amusing than I thought it would be, actually, & is reminding me about all sorts of cool web stuff I forgot -- & making me sad about This Is My Jam. I have a 20 minute commute - this is taking forever.
It's just hours in the day, for me. Quiet time to listen to things is a precious resource for me, and music is important enough that it monopolizes that scarce time 99% of it. I do want to get back to Hardcore History, though. I used to just devour those when I could afford the time @Guide42XYZ
@Devils_Rancher For me I think I got content-fatigue. There is too much quality podcast-content available to listen to.
But certainly, perhaps we'd better be archiving these podcasts as a culture, because they're pretty close to historical artifacts.
