#weirdhookmonth: Antidisestablishmentarianism
Monastic rule didn't regulate a monk's time, it regulated time itself. As social media removes the last vestige of alignment with local time, the cycle stumbles. Today, half the world awoke on May 1 and half on May 2. Both groups have apparently objective evidence they are correct about the date.
@notjustbill Some might say I found out about the meme a day late and came up with an idea to cover up, but I maintain posting the May 1 answer on May 2 was meta,
@DaveHiggins unless we're already within the story....
@notjustbill Doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo
If my phone rings and I can hear myself in the background, I'm blaming you.
@DaveHiggins Fair enough
@DaveHiggins What happened to Universal Coordinated Time?
@starbreaker Everyone's devices show the UTC for the day they think it is.
That's part of why it's a freaky idea seed.
@DaveHiggins totally relatable concept. I really thought today was the 3rd until I got to work, and part of me still feels like yesterday was the 2nd.
