@CobaltVelvet
If i find out what it is, it will be my pleasure to use it.
But, as i'm a know nothing in these computering matters, i'm afraid i'll have to fuck off😉
@CountZero it's not especially bad in a toot, but when some software picks their favorite one and uses it and you have to programmatically read it... even for a human it's challenging sometimes.
@CobaltVelvet
Ooooooh....
Well, i'm not concerned then because i never tell the date in my toots.
I've been told to say the least possible about me on social medias, so i don't tell people when i am, in case they use that info in a bad way 😉
@CobaltVelvet @CountZero It's certainly my preferred date format. Unambiguous and it sorts properly.
@filkerdave @CobaltVelvet
Yep!
Just read the link Alice gave me.
Think i'll use it from now on. The longest to the shortest: easy and clean.
@nivex @CobaltVelvet @CountZero There really is an XKCD for everything, isn't there?
@CountZero it's a date/time format standard : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601
basically a rant against people who use "Wed Apr 02 2014 21:00:00" or (M)M/(D)D/(YY)YY or (D)D/(M)M/(YY)YY with (parts of) days or months names mixed in
dates and times are a mess :p
