It's no reflection on trans folks, but I hate being labelled cis. Don't identify as that, don't want to. Apparently saying that makes me a bigot, despite the fact that a chunk of my work is specifically supporting LGBTQI folks. Derp.
@Witchsmeller well either you're actually cis and then it's just a non-pejorative fact and you're being unreasonable and a bigot, either you're not cis and cannot accept it because of its meaning and it shouldnt be said of you then
which is it
@CobaltVelvet I simply don't want to be labelled in that way. I'm putting zero limitations upon how someone else identifies. In fact I celebrate them. Please explain how that is bigotry, using logic.
@Witchsmeller Cis is the logical opposite of trans, it's not just a question if identifying. You don't identify to being trans, you can move the threshold but you either are or are not. You're either trans or cis, it is factually a binary characteristic, by its definition.
It's borderline bigot because of the usual transphobic argument to abolish "cis" as it should be defined as "normal" and "trans" as the single exception that requires a label.
@Witchsmeller Yeah, I can understand that.
