I mostly use twitter to find out what people I am interested in are up to, so my usage here may be shortlived if they don't also use it. I love the federation and community moderation ideas, lack of advertising, etc., but I rarely post and want something to tell me what's going on. I really hope the developers/writers/critics/etc make the move to Mastodon. Knowing how Twitter treats app developers, I doubt there will be a lot of options for dual posting to both networks.
@Migukin Maybe Twitter could save itself by joining the Federation >:D
@Capndan I think it'll be hardest to find these people not so much that they won't come. Devs/writers etc will try, but can people find them and will they stay.
@DarwinsToffees true. I found out seeing a bunch of security folk mentioning the new network, but I also don't know any of their profile names on here so I can't follow them yet =(
@Capndan right and it'll be tough if they just post it once on twitter since you also need their instance.
@Capndan if the thought leaders move to this platform, then Twitter's goose is cooked.
