Though my surgery was minimally invasive and I was feeling 1000x better than before the surgery, there was a lot of cutting inside. I can't see it, and others can't see it, which means I am tempted to push too hard, or others think I should be 21 again. But my body will wear out and I sleep more now than I ever have in my life.

@BlueIris Yes, our culture is strange about recovery - about taking care of ourselves, in general! I've been thinking a lot about it, though. It'll be a good year of this, even though outwardly, I look better than I did before. :)
