Fugazi - Waiting Room

I remember riding for many miles to see them live in NY, and bumping into them right at the corner of the ticket booth. They gave us tickets and we got to chat. No matter how you feel about their music, what a bunch of brilliant minds and a memory I'll never forget.

@Averly I used to go and watch hardcore bands at a little coffee shop when I was in my teens. The bands all had their “demo” tapes. It was an amazing experience every time.

@Averly I got introduced to a bunch of bands that never made it, but through friends learned about groups who had “made it” like Visions of Disorder and others. There’s a ton of talent out there and I love that distribution of music has gotten so much easier. Now there’s a ton of stuff out there to explore.

@LeoKnepper Totally agree! You just gotta go looking, like always be curious.

Random fact: I used to be in an indie rock band throughout much of the nineties and was lucky to play alongside some "before-famous" bands like Godsmack (lol!). Great times 😊

@Averly that’s awesome! One of my coolest experiences as a fan was going to see Danzig playing with two no-name acts: Marilyn Manson and Korn. Manson had just released their first album and Korn hadn’t released their first yet.

@Averly that was my first real concert. I was in 8th grade and took the city bus with some friends.

@LeoKnepper Whoa that's a pretty sweet! Right on!!
