Had a nightmare last night. The 5yo was late for kindergarten and for some reason we had to take a city bus there (IRL we can walk to the school from our house). So I was managing a kid of the bus and stressing out about that.

Then it got really awful. When we go there it was a different building from the real elementary school and it was night time for some reason. And there was a man there with a gun who was mad at someone specific, but couldn't find his target+

+so he was taking it out on just, you know, people.

And in the dream logic, even though this was going on:

1. We still had to be at class on time.
2. Everyone was gawking.

So I put the 5yo on my back and tried to interpose my body with the shooter and run across a courtyard when he wasn't looking. It was super awful and I was so worried.

When we got across injury free, we ran into my wife's aunt who told us her brother had been killed (IRL she has no brother).
