It only promotes us v them mentalities on all sides of the fence. Ignoring it won't make it go away. Bias runs through generations and many of the words we say and choices we make are affected by it. We inherit it from our upbringers and it's important to expose it and teach our own offspring about bias. Time alone can't heal wounds or scars.
