I am seeing people tear each other apart on 3 different platforms today - not all of which are "social media." (One is a private mailing list.)

Did someone slip something in the water?

Anyone out there worked with the GreenArrays chips?

My social network strategy goes like this. I try to write interesting stuff and I follow people if I like to read what they write. I know. Sounds stupid with no strategy or anything.

Don't you want to be the most popular guy in school? (I say to myself.)

today i replaced the VFD in my Roland JX-10 with a new, high resolution, matrix pixel unit.

it is beautiful, don't you think?

i am still upgrading the rest of the synth with a PWM kit, the final components arrive Tuesday. I'll share more pictures then :3

OK, for whatever reason, I've been on a #CRT kick lately.

Let's talk about the flood beam CRT - a defocused CRT with no deflection (and therefore no scanning), so the whole thing lights up.

As far as I'm aware, they've had three main applications.

Ferranti sold them as "vacuum light sources" with fast phosphors for stroboscopic applications as early as the 1950s: mif.pg.gda.pl/homepages/frank/

Various manufacturers made them for large format displays, as seen below, source: industrialalchemy.org/articlev

I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
But we use the metric system here
So in kilometers that's 804

we will confront each other as aliens: hostile, because we envince only our mutual indifference.

and then we will both be worse off: you, because you will not understand my silence; i, because will not trust you with my thoughts.

you will regret even my noticing that your eyes are glazing over while i try to explain to you. you will be sorry because these signs will prevent my explaining what you want me to explain.

TAKE CARE THAT YOU DO NOT INTERRUPT ME BEFORE I AM FINISHED. FOR THAT WILL INDICATE TO ME THAT YOU WERE NOT PAYING CAREFUL ATTENTION TO WHAT I WAS SAYING.

Samuel Steward was an English professor, a tattoo artist for Hells Angels, a sexual adventurer who shared the considerable scope of his encounters with Alfred Kinsey, and a prolific writer of everything from scholarly articles to gay erotica.

He defies brief description. He was a larger-than-life figure in the secret history of the twentieth century.

"This remarkable collection assembles Steward’s essays for [...] the Illinois Dental Journal."

Saw Rock and Rule last night at The Royal. It was the American cut, apparently the Canadian cut was destroyed in a fire(!)

Some of the animators were on hand to view their own work. That was lovely.

It was not a re-transfer from the original masters. It suffers from poor colouration and brightness problems, with occasional artefacting.

Some animation "on the 1s" was fantastic, though I wasn't a fan of the rotoscoped male/female leads much. Loved the early CGI.

A good night with @bunnyhero !
