After >20 tries this weekend, and almost all of 2 days, I have finally achieved a solder stencil template. Tips:

* Use the glossiest magazine paper you can find. I used the back cover of "Canadian Cycling" magazine
* Apply every last ounce of pressure you have. I clamped an iron upside down to the workbench, blue taped the Al+paper/toner on, then applied pressure with a wooden rolling pin for 2-3 mins. Set iron @ 70% heat.
