"That took fucking forever!" shouted the angry white man with his tray of burgers, fries and soda. "Ever since minimum wage went up, all these places are so slow."

I looked up from my salad and at the clock: 3PM, so shift changeover. Then I looked at the Wendy's counter and saw Xie. I smiled at her and waved; she waved back, visibly grateful her shift was almost over. The rest of the usual weekend crew was there, too.

Later, the shithead left without bussing his table.

@wohali It's amazing, I'll confront people back directly at times, and they'll say...nothing. After they're the ones who started it. Shrugs

@wohali The one I get a lot is "Is everything OK?" while I'm just standing there, buying groceries or whatever. lol
