here, we commonly use short hand for cws!
here's some common ones:
"-" means negativity
"+" means positivity
"~" means a neutral level of negativity or positivity, or that the poster is unsure
"mh" means mental health!
"pda" means public display of affection
"birdsite" means twitter
that should be most of them, feel free to reply if you know any other ones!

can someone explain the latest gnu drama?
This is a really great blog post about
a problem with publishing which libraries and others struggle with. Publishers are actively hostile to users getting content which is either OA or even available through the libraryβs subscription (eg theyβll leave a βbuy thisβ button when the user has the rights to just download it for free). #FreeCulture and #FreeSoftware advocacy often focuses on remixability and hackability. I think another aspect is important to talk about, due to its universal appeal: permanence.
The tools we develop, the websites we build, the music we share under free&open licenses -- _they will be with us_ as long as we care to maintain and share them.
Free culture, in that sense, is an incredible cooperative enterprise across all humanity. It is unlike nearly any other endeavor. It is a joyful thing! :)
