@vickysteeves did you already tried the backup function in #signal? For which case do you need a backup for instant messaging?
@gwenn I got a file I can only use with Signal. I want a plain-text export in like XML or TXT or even JSON.
I would like to keep my instant messages around forever. That's really my use case -- I want to back up my information and conversations.
