The #doctorwho episode "The Leisure Hive" had these people with pine cone-like structures on their heads. The cone held balls/beads that would fall out as you got older. So I'm thinking something like that, but bigger on the head, and the balls are (of course) bon bons (e.g.) wrapped in gold foil.
Have to be sturdy enough to bend over & offer someone a treat...
