I'm getting white stuff on the surface of my #sourdough #beer. According to homebrewtalk forum, it's "Brett"? And totes OK?
I sanitized the hell out of everything (peroxide solution), dunno what to do now...

@upside @MightyBigCar @Troll Yep - Brett is a delicious wonderful bug, among several other sour and funkifying delights. Feed it a little sugar (like a jar of jelly/carboy) late in fermentation and it will reward you with complexity and perhaps more fruit taste than you expected to get out of such a small addition. #sourbeer is my *favorite *!
@clstal Dang, thanks for the info! I'll pop some sugar in in when I bottle it and see how it goes, maybe some honey :-)
@upside @MightyBigCar yeah, it's probably just active fermentation hanging out. The yeast will settle once it's done and dies off.
@upside @Troll I can't claim to know anything about homebrewing - I just like #beer a lot. But it sounds like your experiment is progressing along the right lines.
