this multi device tracking shit is getting out of hand. Wife discusses going to Disneyland. She does one search on my laptop and now my twitter feed is littered with Disneyland ads. Fuck this shit, I'm deleting chrome.
@VictorXLR tell me about it, spent all day in analytics for client websites. Shocking how much info gets gathered.
@VictorXLR it really is getting so invasive. VPN is def the route I'm considering going down at home. Any recommendations?
@twistedonion I stopped using my picture in any social network when i realized that you can now google search a picture. too many things involved and i dont want anyone knowing my details from a google search
Anyway i use Private internet access. i mostly use it for streaming Netflix to get American TV shows. they are really cheap but eventually its a risk cus we dont know who is running it.
with time u get used to it, just clear your cookies regularly and be careful online
thx. It's a fine balance isn't it. Dark times ahead on and offline unfortunately.
I will end up dropping my profile pic, did the same thing on twitter. Use it at the start as an identifier for the people I start to follow then drop it after a bit. It's a nice space here right now. Getting all nostalgic, but like everything good it won't last.
@twistedonion opened my laptop cookies in sublime text. They had everything on me.even clearing history doesn't work i immediately got a VPN and i removed chrome
