And now i can finally play Dawn of War which failed without .net3 :D
checked different .net3.5 installers: NOT ONE OF THEM has a update.ses file.

I also needed to run through two huge log files because windows only told me the error code 0x80070002
Which is one of the more useless error codes.
I have one of these bugs i would need a Windows Dev to fix it.
trying to install .NetFx3.5 on Windows 10 with dism -> dism orders cbs to install -> cbs donwlaods .cab file and tries to extracted update.ses file ->
failes because .cab file only contains update.cat and update.mum ->
me feels the senselessness of existence.
on the way to solve this problem i am downloading a win 8.1 iso.
The media creations tool from Microsoft claims the best download experience.
Why then takes it forever to download the file? o.o
My life right now:
Need .net 3.5 on Windows 10 for reasons.
Trying to install it gets Win to download it but then crap out with error code 0x80070002 Missing file.
No fix works.
But ok, i will just get a manual offline! install file.
But thanks to my luck, the dotnet 3.5 installer needs .net 3.5 for some bloody reason.
