Does anyone else feel weird about using tags?
I'm so used to them being used for weird SEO bullshit that it's hard to bring myself to use them, even though they are basically the main way (other than the public timeline) to discover people in Mastodon.
I have been trying to listen to a podcast for days now and everytime I start I find something to read or to do that demands just enough attention that makes listening impossible.
I'd never though I'd find a reason to miss commuting but there you go.
I really like how a lot of things seem to have been spontaneously defined by the community, like the use of CW or the "nobot" tag.
They may end up being "official" depending on the instance but they begin as commonly shared customs and that's awesome.
I tried making a twitter account a couple of days ago and it blocked me because of suspicious behavior... which was clicking their "first tweet" template and getting followed by two spam accounts. Great user experience. ๐ ๐
Mastodon seems nicer.
Most of my media consumption lately has been rewatching episodes of things I like through youtube blind reactions. Weird, y/n?
