There can be many parties, not just two, and you're asked to rank them all in order of preference. If you want to put the two major parties last behind everyone else you can do that, but for a valid vote you still have to put someone last of all.
Voting is compulsory but your ballot is secret, once you make the effort to turn up, it's up to you if you want to fill it in.
