Saw Alien: Covenant today. Was optimistic, having heard it was better than Prometheus, which I enjoyed. However, it fails to deliver, mainly due to a few fatal errors:

1. The backstory is somewhat fleshed out, but I doubt anyone will find it satisfying. The biology is too nonsensical to be intriguing.

2. Horror aspect practically nonexistent. Standard creature feature fare, with an Alien flavor.

3. Alien lurking in shadows? No. Alien CGI fight scenes? Yes. (Yawn...)
