Writing a poem. I haven't touched the surface of a poem in months. I simply was not writing. A block of ice froze all my muses in the void.
@Averly I write most of my poems in my native tongue, portuguese. But this time I wrote one in English:
Shards of light where the sand stand still
---
The sand stand still,
the sand still
drips over the dune’s
edge,
hour glass storm collapsing.
Shards of light,
slight movement
along the fractal
spine
of a kinetic desert.
@Averly "the sand stands still". And not "the sand stand still". I gotta correct that.
@tiphra Very cool! I hope you keep writing 👍🏼
@Averly ✌ I will.
Sometimes my poetic senses simply shut down. Eventually they come up again.
But it's good to make a pause sometimes.
@tiphra I've been avoiding poetry for months myself. what moved you back to the page?
@swervestray I don't know. My poetic senses come and go. I keep making notes and write ideas even when I'm not inspired. Eventually I write something good and keep doing it for days. Then it stops again.
That's how my mind works. 😄
@tiphra I'd love to read/hear/see your poetry!
I used to write a ton when I was a tiny human and should probably give it another go as well. It's kinda like coloring. It's soothes my wounded soul 😘
