I just verified this by blocking switter.at, BTW.
Don't get me wrong: I'm glad Switter exists because sex workers need and deserve safe spaces more than anybody else, but I visit Mastodon on my phone at my day job instead of going out for a smoke break. I don't need un-tagged NSFW material showing up in my feed.
And I don't mean nudity. Because I'm a man, a woman looking over my shoulder and seeing a photo of a woman in lingerie can accuse me of sexual harassment. I don't need that hassle.
#tip Individuals can block entire instances. Just pick an individual from the instance in question, go to their profile, and open up the menu you would use to mute, block, or report them. Under these options is another one: hide all posts from <instance>. You'll be asked to confirm, just in case. Once you pull the trigger, refresh your feed. You won't see material from the instance you just blocked.

Didn't think I would sing its praises but Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is an excellent game for the #NintendoSwitch
It's XCOM with a weird toonish skin, but it works so well.
Rabbids are weird and freak me out, like they're just living nightmares, and yet this game is so engaging.

Anyway if you feel like using an app for Mastodon but don't wan't a third party to provide the code, use the #ProgressiveWebApp: you can basically install the website of your instance as an app using the "Add to Home Screen" option in your browser. ;)
I haven't really understood the problem with #tootdon: can someone explain? I'm not using it but I'm interested in the issue since it seems that tootdon is proprietary.

Birdsite has completely forgotten about kindness: every tweet is a reason to start a war, and nobody wants to give anybody a second chance. The most kind hearted are begining to be edgy. A tweet is enough to judge your entire life and personality.
I'm not saying it could not happen on mastodon, but birdsite has become a war zone.
