Anyway if you feel like using an app for Mastodon but don't wan't a third party to provide the code, use the #ProgressiveWebApp: you can basically install the website of your instance as an app using the "Add to Home Screen" option in your browser. ;)

@andrewt @electrotamitha precisely: it might feel a bit slugish depending on the browser and device, but as long as you accept the permission for push notifications on your browser, it should work ;)

@tiesselune @andrewt @electrotamitha i believe we’ve only got push notification support for android in the webapp right now but hopefully that’ll change in the future
