I'd try Scuttlebutt if there were a client that sets you up as an onion service automatically, like Ricochet and Onionshare do.
@cwebber I'm totally fine using qasmixer.
@chr socialhome.network seems pretty tumblresque to me.

@cwebber That's oddly specific. I just hate Google.
@Antanicus Here's an idea: How about we stop poisoning wild bees (and exploiting honey bees!) and destroying their habitats, and instead we promote, support, and spread vegan organic farming practices that attract and support wild pollinators?
(Then we can still have robotic pollinators in addition, as long as they run free software on open hardware that is sustainable and recyclable.)
@Austin_Dern I think it's pretty straightforward. However, I'd strongly advise against using the "duplicate layer" feature. It's kind of dangerous from a usability perspective.
@rotatingskull "To ask why one should care is a luxury of privilege. Data harvesting arguably matters most when it's used against the economically disadvantaged. It's not just in China that social media data are used to evaluate credit worthiness and immigration status. By normalizing the harvesting of data, those of us with little to fear imperil the most vulnerable."
Exactly this.
Also, you could be next. You don't decide if something can be used against you. People who want to harm you do.

Moxie Marlinspike, in his 2016 propaganda piece ignorantly bashing #XMPP, had one valid point: Enabling end-to-end encryption in a homogeneous environment is easier than introducing it in a heterogeneous #Jabber. Nobody is denying that. However, if something is hard to achieve, either try your best and don’t give up, or put your head in the sand and create yet another walled garden that is no different from other proprietary solutions.

@nolan If only TimBL wasn't pro-DRM... It's hard to take his calls to fight whatever is threatening the web seriously, when he himself supported one of those threats. He appears to campaign for a more distributed web, against powerful, dominant platforms. Yet, the DRM stuff he signed off on, benefits precisely those dominant platforms. The medium he posted his appeal on, is part of the dominant platforms too.
His words and actions sadly do not seem to match, and that's a shame.
"I don't know if Google's allergy to the AGPL extends to software used for drone murder applications, but in any case I look forward to preventing Google from using more of my software in the future."

@rhiaro Yeah, I used to make Italian-style omelettes with chickpea flour. Maybe I'll do that again in the summer.
